ʿAqidat al-ʿAwamm is a celebrated didactic poem on Islamic creed composed by Ahmad al-Marzuki. Written in a simple and memorable style, it was designed to help students and lay Muslims memorize the essential tenets of Sunni belief.
The poem covers the fundamental doctrines of faith, including the attributes of Allah, the prophets and messengers, the revealed scriptures, angels, the Hereafter, and divine decree. It concludes with brief sections on the names, family, and wives of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Due to its clarity and pedagogical value, the text became widely taught throughout the Muslim world and inspired numerous commentaries, including the well-known Fath al-ʿAllam.
