The second work features the concise two-page treatise Al-Risālah al-Ādābiyyah by the distinguished Ḥanafī scholar Muḥammad ibn Bīr al-Birkawī (d. 981 AH), accompanied by its twenty-one-page integrated commentary, Al-Fawāʾid al-Faḍliyyah, by Ibrāhīm ibn Faḍl Allāh al-Sīwāsī. Although brief in length, the treatise presents the essential principles of debate, while the commentary expands upon them with practical discussions on argumentation, counter-arguments, and the evaluation (tarjīḥ) of competing legal and theological proofs from a Ḥanafī uṣūl perspective.
