Adab al-Sufiyya (آداب الصوفية) is a concise yet profound treatise on Islamic spirituality by the great Sunni scholar Imam Abu al-Qasim al-Qushayri (d. 465 AH). Focusing on the etiquettes and character required of the seeker, it presents Tasawwuf as a path firmly rooted in the Quran, the Sunnah, and sound Sunni belief.
This modern edition, critically edited by Sheikh Nizar Hammadi, is based on two verified manuscripts (one from Azerbaijan dated 713 AH and the other undated one from Turkey) and includes hadith references, explanatory notes, and valuable scholarly annotations. Free from speculative philosophy, the work emphasizes spiritual purification, sincerity, humility, and noble character, making it an excellent introduction to authentic Sunni Tasawwuf.
