Commentary on al-Khunaji's (Afdal al-Din Abu Abdillah Muhammad ibn Namawr al-Shafi'i) treatise on mantiq known as al-Jumal fi al-Mantiq. Commentary written by al-Tilmisani (Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Ali al-Sharif al-Alawi). This matn was one of the popular primers on mantiq especially in the Maghreb from the 8th to the 10th centuries of Hijrah.
This edition comes with about 100 pages of introduction, covering the biographies of the author and commentator, the importance of this text historically, the manuscripts that were consulted, as well as the matn itself followed by the commentary, accompanied with footnotes.
