Contains two treatises by Shaykh Muhammad Zahid al-Kawthari (1296 - 1371 AH) on the topic of talaq (divorce) in Islam, edited by Dr. Hamza Bakri.
The first al-Ishfaq ala Ahkam al-Talaq was written in response to Shaykh Ahmad Shakir's book, Nizam al-Talaq, and addresses the following major topics: the issue of triple talaq (three issued at once), divorce given during a woman's period, and divorce given with some oath or condition.
The second al-Ifsah 'an Hukm al-Ikrah fi al-Talaq wa al-Nikah is a treatise on the rulings regarding duress and coercion pertaining to marriage and divorce.
