Sharh al-Jami‘ al-Saghir is an important classical commentary on Al-Jami‘ al-Saghir, one of the foundational works of Hanafi jurisprudence composed by Imam Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Shaybani (d. 189 AH), the foremost student of Imam Abu Hanifah.

Al-Jami‘ al-Saghir is one of the texts transmitted through the Zahir al-Riwayah, the principal body of authoritative legal transmissions of the Hanafi school. Its concise formulation of Hanafi rulings made it an important subject of study and commentary among later jurists.
