Al-Ibānah fī al-Radd ʿalā al-Mushanniʿīn ʿalā Abī Ḥanīfah is a newly published classical work by the early Ḥanafī scholar Abū Jaʿfar al-Balkhī, (who died in the 5th Hijri century) defending Imam Abū Ḥanīfah against criticisms of his jurisprudential methodology.

The work addresses important questions concerning Imam Abū Ḥanīfah’s approach to ḥadīth, qiyās, istiḥsān, and uṣūl al-fiqh, providing a valuable glimpse into the early Ḥanafī scholarly tradition and its response to criticisms of the school’s founder.
