Fatawa Qadi Khan bi al-Fatawa al-Khaniyyah fi Madh-hab al-Hanafiyyah (6 Volume Set) (takhreej Qasimi) فتاوى قاضي خان بالفتاوى الخانية في مذهب الحنفية
Fatawa Qadi Khan (also known as Al-Fatawa al-Khaniyyah) is among the most authoritative and celebrated legal compendia in the Hanafi school of Islamic jurisprudence. Compiled by Imam Fakhr al-Din Hasan ibn Mansur al-Uzjandi al-Farghani al-Hanafi (d. 592 AH), it became a foundational reference for jurists, muftis, and students of Hanafi fiqh throughout the Islamic world.
In his introduction, the author explains his purpose: “I have included in this book those legal issues which frequently occur, which are much needed, upon which the affairs of the community revolve, and which are the focus of the jurists’ and imams’ concerns.” Drawing upon both the early authorities of the Hanafi school and later juristic scholarship, the work presents practical legal rulings arranged according to the standard chapters of fiqh.
This six-volume edition has been meticulously researched and critically edited. The editors have numbered individual rulings, traced them to their original source texts, and supplemented the work with scholarly annotations and explanatory notes wherever necessary, making it an invaluable resource for researchers, students, muftis, and serious seekers of Hanafi jurisprudence.
