Al-Ṭabaqāt al-Saniyyah fī Tarājim al-Ḥanafiyyah by Imam Taqī al-Dīn al-Ghazzī (d. 1010 AH) is a major biographical dictionary devoted to the scholars, jurists, and traditionists of the Ḥanafī school. It records the lives and scholarly contributions of prominent Ḥanafī authorities who helped preserve, develop, and transmit the madhhab through the end of the tenth century AH.
Arranged alphabetically, the work provides detailed biographical information, including scholars’ teachers and students, scholarly achievements, works, virtues, legal contributions, and place within the Ḥanafī tradition.
