Ḥadīth: Innamā Juʿila al-Imām li-Yuʾtamma Bihi
حديث إنما جعل الإمام ليؤتم به
This work is a focused study of the Prophetic ḥadīth:
إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الْإِمَامُ لِيُؤْتَمَّ بِهِ
“Indeed, the Imam has only been appointed to be followed.”
The book brings together the various narrations and versions of this ḥadīth, examining their wording and relevant details. It then draws out the fiqh rulings, legal principles, and practical lessons derived from these narrations, particularly those concerning following the Imam in congregational prayer.
