'Uqud al-'Aqa'id fi Funun al-Fawa'id wa-Yalihi al-Manzumah al-Ra'iyyah عقود العقائد في فنون الفوائد ويليه المنظومة الرائية

يحوي هذا الكتاب بين دفتيه منظومتين مفيدتين في علم العقائد، على مذهب السادة الماتريدية، لعالمين جليلين من أصحاب الإمام أبي خنيفة، من أهل ما وراء النهر. الأولى: هي المنظومة السماة بـ«عقود العقائد في فنون الفوائد» للعلامة أبي المحاسن محمد بن أبي بكر الشَّرْغيّ المعروف بإمام زادَهْ (491-573هـ)، وهي من أقدم المنظومات العقدية وأطولها، إنْ لم تكن أطولها على الإطلاق، قد نُظمت سنة 560 هجرية، وتقع في نحو 770 بيتاً، تتميّز بسهولة الألفاظ، وحسن الترتيب، وزيادة التفريع والتفصيل، مع التدليل في مواضع، والرد على المخالفين في أخرى. وثانيهما: منظومة رائية الوزن، نظمها العلامة الفقيه أحمد بن أبي المؤيد النسفي (المتوفى 519هـ)، تقع في 81 بيتاً، وهذه المنظومة في الأصل مقدّمة على نظم ناظمها للجامع الكبير للإمام محمد بن الحسن الشيباني. وكلا هاتين المنظومتين تُحقَّقان لأول مرة، وقد جمعهما المحقِّق في هذا العمل لما بينهما من علاقة تاريخية وعلمية.

This book contains between its covers two beneficial didactic poems (manẓūmahs) on the science of Islamic creed (ʿaqīdah), according to the school of the esteemed Māturīdī scholars, authored by two distinguished scholars from among the companions of Imam Abū Ḥanīfah’s tradition in Transoxiana (Mā Warāʾ al-Nahr).

The first is the poem entitled ʿUqūd al-ʿAqāʾid fī Funūn al-Fawāʾid by the eminent scholar Abū al-Maḥāsin Muḥammad ibn Abī Bakr al-Sharghī, المعروف بإمام زاده (491–573 AH). It is among the earliest and longest poetic compositions on Islamic creed—perhaps the longest of them all—composed in the year 560 AH. Spanning approximately 770 verses, it is distinguished by its clear language, excellent organization, detailed treatment of subsidiary matters, and occasional evidentiary argumentation, alongside refutations of opposing views in various places.

The second is a poem rhyming in the letter rāʾ (rāʾiyyah), composed by the jurist-scholar Aḥmad ibn Abī al-Muʾayyad al-Nasafī (d. 519 AH). Consisting of 81 verses, this poem originally served as an introduction to the author’s poetic rendition of al-Jāmiʿ al-Kabīr by Imam Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan al-Shaybānī.

Both of these poems are critically edited and published here for the first time. The editor has brought them together in this volume because of the historical and scholarly relationship they share.
