Nafi' related that 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar, radi-Allahu unhuma, said: "When the Muslims arrived at Madinah, they used to assemble for salah, and used to guess the time for it. During those days, the practice of adhan for the prayers had not yet been introduced. Some people suggested the use of a bell like the Christians, others proposed a trumpet like the horn used by the Jews, but 'Umar, radi-Allahu unhu, was the first to suggest that a man should call for salah; so Allah’s Messenger, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, ordered Bilal to get up and pronounce the adhan for salahs."
This CD contains the rulings of the Adhan and the Iqamah as taught by the Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam. The first part, taught by Imam Tahir Anwar, consists of studying the classical texts pertaining to the fiqh of Adhan and Iqamah. The second part, taught by Imam Abdurrahman, consists of correcting the pronunciation of the words of Adhan.

This book is written primarily for those who have lost loved ones and are struggling with bereavement and coming to terms with that loss. Muslims accept the existence of life after death as a part of their faith. When faced with the fact of death, it naturally becomes a prime concern, and colors the way the dying person and the bereaved think and act. This book offers practical advice, not only on Islamic attitudes to the dying, and the correct procedures of burial according to the Sunnah of the Prophet, but also much to console and strengthen the bereaved, to help them though this sad but inevitable experience.
A visual catalogue and record, the work comprises a collation of 19 Qurʾanic manuscripts focusing on one sūrah (Al-Isrāʾ) but spanning the entire history of Islam. The verses are aligned in a parallel framework so that each word, each letter, each verse is brought into focus. This enables the reader to discern the text visually, by contemplating the very script whose recitation echoed throughout the centuries, from the time when the Companions of the Prophet g made their way through the alleyways to the Prophet’s Mosque and set down to work, to fourteen centuries later when the hum of the modern, digital printing press accompanies the mass production of muṣḥafs for distribution across the globe
