Here is the original book of Al-Khawarizmi, the founder of the discipline of algebra. Contains the Arabic book as well as its English translation and comments. Belongs in every school library.
Written by Abu Jafar Ahmad ibn Nasr al-Dawudi (d. 402/1011). Translated and edited by Abul Muhsin Muhammad Sharfuddin.
This book is a work of art. The artist Neyyar Ahsan Rashid painted the ninety-nine Beautiful Names over a period of two decades. She also recorded her reflections about each of these names, which were then rendered into Arabic and English verse. The painting appears on the right hand page while the Arabic and English verses appear on the facing page on the left. The book has been beautifully produced under the guidance of Dr. Zafar Ishaq Ansari and will be a prized gift. It has been jointly published by the Islamic Research Institute of the International Islamic University, Islamabad and the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, Georgetown University.
