Hafiz al-Din al-Nasafi (d. 710 AH) wrote the concise but comprehensive book of Hanafi usul al-fiqh called al-Manar. Its sharah was written by Shaikh Muhammad Alauddin al-Husni under the title Ifada al-Anwar. This book is a sharah of this latter book by Ibn Abideen.

Contains five risalas (or monograms) on principles of jurisprudence. 1) Usul al-Karkhi of Imam Abu Hasan al-Karkhi (d. 340 AH). 2)Usul Masail Khilafiya by Imam Abu Zaid al-Dabusi (d. 430 AH). 3) Qawaid Fiqhiya compiled by the author from such source texts as Sharh al-Seer al-Kabir, Hidaya, al-Ashbah wa al-Nazair, and Mujallah al-Ahkam al-'Adliya. 4) Dictionary of fiqhi terms 5) Adab al-Mufti compiled by the author.

This book by Imran Ahsan Khan Nyazee (International Islamic University, Islamabad) on Islamic legal theory, presents the concepts of usul al-fiqh in a manner that reflects the traditional approach, but takes in account the needs of the modern lawyer, judge, and scholar.

This is three books in one. The middle of the page contains the text of Tanqeehul Usool by the Hanafi scholar Qadi Obaidullah (d. 747 AH). Beneath it is its commentary titled Tawdeeh by the same author. The surrounding text is the commentary known as al-Talweeh by the Shafii scholar Saaduddin Taftazani (d. 792)
