The compilations of chains (asānīd) to the major books of hadith connecting Mufti Muḥammad Shafī, the former Grand Mufti of Pakistan, and founder of the Dar al-‘Ulūm Karachi, to Shāh ‘Abd al-Ghanī Mujaddidi al-Dihlawi (a major hadith scholar and transmitter of the previous century). Also discusses some of the Sufi chains and transmissions of Mufti Shafi, as a khalifa of Hakim al-Ummah Mawlana Ashraf ‘Ali Thanwi. And contains a biography of Mufti Muḥammad Shafī, authored by his son, Mufti Taqi Usmani.
