The teacher and guide of souls, Muhammad ibn al-Hāshimī was born to pious parents, both prophetic scions who traced their lineage back to al-Ḥasan ibn ‘Alī radīallahu `anhu, in 1298 A.H. in the town of Sabdou, which lies in the vicinity of Tlemcen, one of the main cities of Algeria. His father was one of the city's scholars, and a judge therein. When he died, he left behind him young children; the Shaykh was the oldest of them. This is his biography.

A biography of the great scholar of the traditional Islamic sciences: the founder of the very first school of law in Ahl as-sunna wa al-jama'a, who indeed was a great source of Islamic knowledge, gained through the companions (sahaba) of the Prophet Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam and their companions (tabi'in), which makes Imam Abu Hanifa a tabi'i himself. This biography is well researched and composed from authentic sources. Translated from Urdu by M. Hadi Hussain.

Imam al-Dhahabi (d. 748), wrote this treatise on the virtues of al-Imam al-Azam, the Greatest Imam, Imam Abu Hanifa and his two companions Imam Abu Yusuf and Imam Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Shaybani al-Dhahabi to address the unwarranted criticism that these august men were receiving. It shows their tremendous contributions to Islam and their immense standing in the eyes of the early Muslims.Translated by Khalid Williams.

Al-Junayd (d. circa 910) was one of the most significant figures of the formative period of Islamic mysticism in the ninth century, when Sufis were condemned as 'heretics'. This rare study of the Sufi master is divided into three parts, the first containing an account of his life and works. In the second part, his doctrines on Tawhid (Unity of God), Mithaq (Divine Covenant), Fana (Dissolution in the Divine Presence), and Sahw (Mystical Sobriety) are discussed. The third part has a translation of his 'Letters', or Rasa'il.
