The color coded Qur'an is intended to facilitate and enhance the reading of the Qur'an with tajweed. It is produced by color coding the various rules. For example where ikhfa is to be observed, the letters are colored with blue; where qalqala is to be observed green is used. A legend at the bottom of every page describes the color codes providing for a quick reference. An 8 page supplement at the beginning describes the rules of tajweed in detail and explains the color coding system.

Further, this print also contains references to mutashabihaat in the margin, pointing out phrases that are repeated in different places in the Qur'an with slight variation.

This 12th century work by Qadi Iyad is perhaps the most frequently used and commented upon handbook in which the Prophet's life, his qualities and his miracles are described in every detail. This book is the second edition of the revised Tasheel al-Nahw, which in turn was a somewhat expanded translation of the Urdu language primer of Arabic grammar, ‘Ilm al-Nahw by Mawlana Mushtaq Ahmad Charthawali. Mawlana Charthawali’s primers for Nahw (Arabic grammar) and Sarf (Arabic Morphology) are standard textbooks in Western madrasahs. The original English translation of ‘Ilm al-Nahw was prepared by scholars from Madrasah Islamiyyah, Benoni, South Africa.
