The book deals with the fundamental question of the nature of `worldview' according to Islam.

The author deals with fundamental problems faced by contemporary Muslims and their real solutions, beginning with a discussion on the 'Contemporary Western Christian Background', followed by his analysis of the concepts (which he newly defines) of 'secular', 'secularization', and 'secularism'. He proceeds to analyze the Muslim dilemma by declaring that it should be resolved primarily through "dewesternization of knowledge" or conversely the "Islamization of contemporary knowledge."

Concentric Circles—Nurturing Awe and Wonder in Early Childhood provides a clear and practical approach to planning, organizing and facilitating the learning experience for young Muslim children. Useful for the home-schooling parent and the classroom teacher, the handbook is based on a uniquely Islamic approach to learning called transformative learning. This approach was first used by the Prophet of Islam, the best of teachers, to impart knowledge to his Companions and since then it has been used by generations of Muslim educators. In this approach to learning, the most important asset of the child is his or her fitrah, the innate nature, and both the child and the parent/teacher are considered to be learners. The handbook seamlessly integrates faith and learning through a process that transforms the learners by drawing their attention to the three realms from which the Qur'an draws its material: the cosmos, the nafs and the human story. Dr Wright's translation of Caspari's Arabic Grammar first appeared in 1859. Since that time it has been thoroughly revised and enlarged, and has become the standard authority. Volume I contains sections on orthography and pronunciation, on the verb, the noun and adjective, on numerals, prepositions, adverbs and conjunctions. Volume II deals with syntax and prosody.

Islamic philosophy has often been treated as mainly of historical interest, belonging to the history of ideas rather than to philosophy.

This volume challenges this belief. The Encyclopaedia of Islamic Philosophy is made up entirely of new essays by a distinguished list of writers. They provide detailed discussions of the most important thinkers and the key concepts in Islamic philosophy, from earliest times right up to the present day, as well as a series of discussions of the cultural and religious background.
